The UCF Knights dominated on Homecoming at the Acrisure Bounce House, securing a 45-13 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Knights established control early in the first quarter with two touchdown passes from Tayven Jackson to Chris Domercant. The first was a 40-yard score, followed by a 34-yard touchdown pass later in the period. West Virginia responded early in the second quarter with a 6-yard touchdown run, but the Knights maintained a 14-7 lead going into the halftime break.

The third quarter belonged entirely to UCF as they scored 21 unanswered points to pull away. Running back Jaden Nixon started the second-half scoring with a 12-yard touchdown run. Soon after, the UCF defense forced a strip-sack and returned the fumble 32 yards for another touchdown. Nixon closed out the third-quarter scoring explosion by breaking loose for an 83-yard touchdown run, pushing the lead to 35-7 and putting the game out of reach.

UCF extended their advantage in the fourth quarter when kicker Noe Ruelas made a 51-yard field goal. Backup quarterback Davi Belfort added a final 10-yard touchdown run for the Knights. West Virginia managed a late 1-yard rushing touchdown with less than two minutes remaining, but the point-after attempt failed. The dominant performance snapped a three-game losing streak for the Knights and moved their season record to 4-3.
